You'll hear legendary sex-positive feminist Margo St James talk about the birth of the sex-worker rights movement in San Francisco plus her checkered past with politics, law-enforcement, and her relationship with Paul Avery, a newspaper man of note. Margo St. James founded COYOTE "Call Off Your Old Tired Ethics" the sex-worker activism group in 1973 after novelist Tom Robbins called St. James “the coyote trickster.” Margo St James also ran and won San Francisco Board of Supervisors and founded the St James Infirmary, a clinic for sex-workers. Margo St James, Annie Sprinkle, Carol Queen, and I are also curating the Hooker’s Ball Brothello stage at Masquerotica on Saturday, October 22nd. Plus, we'll talk about the trials and joys of open relationships and asking for what you want with Marcia Baczynski, and erotic edu-tainer Spycey Spyce will make us giggle while teaching about safer sex and intimate communication. Do you think the G-spot could be the real Holy Grail? Everybody's always looking for it... and Michael Schuessler's surprising secret to finding what he calls "The Holy G-rail" is *texture!* Plus you'll learn some ways to intensify your orgasm and improve your health at the same time! Most people limit sex to the bedroom, but how do public sex spaces like Kinky Salon and the Armory change the way we relate to intimacy, pleasure, & each other? San Francisco's Sluttiest Blogger Vanessa Pinto aka Fleur De Lis and porn star and bondage rigger Jack Hammer describe parties where sex is literally on the table. Sex with strangers? Just how strange are they? Or how about a party where you only go to 2nd base, and people are making out on dozens of beds? Much of SF's sex-positive glitterati like Annie Sprinkle, Carol Queen, Margo St James, Club Kiss, Anon Salon, and Club Exotica are throwing their big sexY annual Halloween costume party, Masquerotica (2012's party is Saturday, October 21st). It's all the sexy of a 2nd base party, plus Bondage-A-Go-Go and Trannyshack, all the glam of the Hubba Hubba Revue, with all the attention to creating a safe space for sexual expression of Kinky Salon without "going all the way" and leaving room for thousands of people to shake their sexy groove things and make out unrepentantly. |
